“CELEBRATING TEN YEARS TOGETHER”
– 2016 ANGEL HONOR TREE –
What is the Honor Tree?
A gift made in one’s name is always a meaningful way to celebrate the Christmas season and other special events.
This year we will light an Angel tree during the annual conference that will shine throughout the conference weekend. Your donation, given in honor or memory of a Rett Angel, will help to fund the tree.
*with a minimum donation of $35 – An angel will be hung with the name of the Rett angel of your choice on the tree to acknowledge your generosity. The Angel Honor Tree offers a unique way to remember your special angel, honor Rett angel friends, and bring recognition as well as love & warmth to the families and others involved in the lives of those with Rett Syndrome.
How do I benefit? Part of the Southeastern Rett Syndrome Alliance’s mission is to connect Rett families, establishing bonds of support and sharing experiences that allow us to expand the knowledge of caregivers and professionals throughout the Southeast. In addition, we offer an opportunity for families to attend our annual conference weekend to enjoy the company of other Rett syndrome families in an atmosphere conducive to emotional relaxation and bonding.
The organization was established in January 2007, to provide a network of information and emotional support to families and caregivers of Rett syndrome children and adults; and increase public awareness of Rett syndrome. Many of the families of the southern region of the United States receive medical care at the UAB Rett Clinic.
Therefore the ten neighboring states of Alabama (Georgia, Mississippi, Florida, Arkansas, Louisiana, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee) are included. Contributions and fundraisers such as this Angel Honor Tree help us maintain affordable conference costs for these families as well as enable us to continue to offer some support during prolonged hospitalizations.
This year, please consider a donation to our Angel Honor Tree, our families appreciate your generosity!
